The Last Battle: Krypton vs Apokolips

It's done!  My first fully-fleshed-out Superman story.  Some of you might recognize the title of this one as belonging to my orcs vs men story.  When I remake that in the future, I'll likely give it the same name with a new subtitle.

I spent a bit more time on this one, teaching myself how to mimic the bubbles used in modern comics.  Either I have no idea how to search for it or there is a total lack of info about how to recreate the look!  I think I did a pretty alright job with that in the end.

I took another couple of hours rendering an animation (in Shockwave Flash format) of a rotation of the last panel.  It's a bit of a big file, but by the time you reach the end of the story, it should be loaded and playing.

Here's The Last Battle: Krypton vs Apokolips!

Torn Costume

Hey, guys.  I'm making good strides with the new Superman vs Darkseid story, and I wanted to post this picture of Superman's torn costume that happens during the fight.  Spoilers, I know, but with a chest like that, how can I not show it off now?!

Apokolips, where the majority of this story takes place, was really interesting to craft.  I'm basically done with it and it looks like a great place for such a battle to happen.

The text part of the story is coming along well.  I'm referring to a few different comics and some wiki sites to make sure some of my story bits and facts are right -- though an awful lot of the stuff I do as an artist takes great liberties with the source material.  I'm sure it'll all be fine in the end, though.

Have a great Friday and weekend, guys.  I'll see you again soon,

Darkseid v2

I just got done with version 2 of my Darkseid model.  I've decided to go ahead with the Superman story first and work on the Conan tale right after this one is done.

I modeled Darkseid's helmet and belt myself and rigged them with little difficulty.  After that, I painted on his costume and gave him new boots and trunks.  Except for a skin texture refresh, he's pretty much the same studly tyrant as before.

I have a vague idea of what the story will be about already, but it and the scene here are subject to change before it's all done.

Thanks, guys, for your input and interest!  Keep a look out sometime this month for this story!

Beach Fighter

And the summery theme continues!  Agh!  Somebody save me from its evil, warm, sandy, sunny clutches!

I was fooling around with Guile's model a little tonight and had the idea to put the colonel in a pink thong and put him in a chair on the beach.  I think this is the last beach thing I do... for now.  For now.

I was wondering if you guys wanted another Superman story, maybe one involving Darkseid in space?  I was also recently thinking of doing a full story version of Conan and Ogre King.

If you guys have any preferences, I'd love to hear what you think!

Rematch: Tarzan vs Jabari

Rematch: Tarzan vs Jabari takes place on a beach on the outskirts of the jungle.  Before I started work on this, I wanted to have a great location for these two studs to battle in.  It didn't take too long before inspiration hit.  My friend Art (Wildjuba/Cacentcst) has done some incredibly-hot Tarzan series that he shared over time on his old Yahoo groups.  The idea for this wrestling ring comes from his Tarzan Vs. Mandla set and the surrounding environment from a mix of his other sets: Hercules Vs. Nguna and the latter half of Tarzan Vs. Rhino.

In this direct sequel to The New Jungle King, Tarzan has been defeated and loses his title as jungle lord.  He's taken back to Mogu to face a dethroning ceremony by the native tribesmen.  Jabari, the new king of the jungle, takes pity on the white man and casts him out of Mogu.  Naked and ass aching, Tarzan flees into the quiet jungle to heal his wounds in peace.

But Tarzan soon learns that he isn't content with the way things turned out.  He wants a rematch to redeem himself and gain back his crown as king!  Tarzan challenges his greatest opponent to another fight in the ring!  Can Tarzan put the pieces of his shattered ego back together and somehow defeat the only man to ever conquer him?

Boys on the Beach

Okay, so this is really, really early in the year for something this summery, but a friend wanted to see the header's full version, and I figured it might help counteract some of the crazy snowstorms affecting some of you guys.  Well... maybe not that second part, but I can hope!

Four of my studs -- Tuskar, Kugo, Hercules, and Gorg -- are standing around on the beach and enjoying the warm rays of sun baking their backsides.  I think when these big boys get done showing off their bodies for each other, they'll pair off and wrestle around on the beach before settling down for some fun under the sun.

500,000 Hits

The blog just hit 500,000 page views tonight, and I can't be any more surprised at how quickly that happened.  It'd only been 9 months since the 200,000 milestone and the page counter has already more than doubled.

Bomani, son of Kugo, wanted to be the one to deliver the news -- and, like his big daddy, he couldn't help but show off that sexy body of his in the process!

Thank you guys for your continued support.  I love you all, and I always appreciate your taking the time to leave comments, reaction clicks, or even just stopping by for a minute!

This was a really nice milestone to end the year on and it's all because of you.
