Big Bully Brother

"Before we go," Ares said to Hercules, raising his hand to the beefy half-god, "you need a cut worthy of a soldier of Ares!"

Hercules grabbed his head as a swarm of the manly magic of the god of war engulfed it fully.  Before he realized what was happening, his curly hair was trimmed and his facial hair was completely gone!

A warm breeze blew across the demigod's bare face, suddenly making him feel quite naked.  He touched the soft skin around his jaw and grunted in surprise.

"There," Ares said with a laugh.  "Now you look like my little bro!"

Stunned, Hercules couldn't stop thinking of his beloved beard.  But the memory of his facial hair would remain only that: a memory.  Ares always gets what he wants, and his magic would not wear off until he commands it.

Hercules and Ares wrestling...  This idea was incredibly spur of the moment and meant as a stop-gap to fill in time while I waited for the next version of the studio to come out -- which it actually just did!

I hope you enjoyed this tale of pro wrestling gods in the sky.  I know it's a very strange little tale, but I enjoyed it.  And just in case you were wondering, this story is set in a timeline where Hercules never met Sergios.

And now I'll take some time off to plan the next story (which pits Tarzan against an African native named Jabari).  Thanks for visiting Barbaric Brawn, and I'll see you guys later!

Eternia Mastered!

One more down!  And this time it wasn't over 100 panels -- thank goodness for my sake.

I had a lot of fun with this one.  It was nice to go back to Tuskar and Kugo, even if my little tale upended their lives (well, Kugo's much more than Tuskar's).  Kugo will be fine, though.  Bomani can be bull-headed, but he does love his daddy.

He-Man was a fun one to play with.  I know that I took liberties and changed him to suit my needs, but I hope that I kept at least enough of his mannerisms to leave him recognizable.

Bomani, as it turns out, actually wasn't meant to be Kugo's son in the very beginning.  It was right as I started work on the third panel that I had the idea to make this beefy black stud royalty.

The squiggly words that the shaman says on panel 08 actually read, "Prince Bomani
will defeat He-Man of Eternia."  That crafty shaman knew the whole time!

I'm not sure if anyone noticed this or not, but He-Man regained his muscles during his trip to Earth.  I didn't want to leave him the only diminished character of the four, so I replaced him with his more-muscular model.  I guess I can explain it away by saying Bomani's semen (also infused by the Power of Grayskull) gave him back some of his old strength?  Sure, why not.

I hope you guys enjoyed this one!  I'm going to be taking some time off to think about what I'll do next.  There will be a few bonus panels for Master of Eternia in the coming days, so stay tuned for that.

I'll see you around.

And another is finished!

106 panels -- 106!  I never thought The Last Battle would ever reach that size.  I figured it'd be around 75.

The Last Battle...  I feel pretty good about how this one turned out.  I have an erotic fascination with orcs.  They're burly, brutal, and barbaric.  They love to smash and love to dominate (and, in my mind, fuck while doing so).

Some notes and fun facts for you guys:

•    The Farmer was supposed to have a gruff brother who lived with him and his son at the farmstead.  I was going to have the brother be in the woods in the back of the farm, harvesting lumber, when the orc Rogg stumbles upon him.  The man would've run back to his brother and nephew, only to find them already defeated and serving Gorg and Zug.  Because of software limitations, I wasn't able to achieve this, so I had to change the story.

Over Already?!

Wow.  I'm already done posting the Tuskar vs Kugo series?

It really feels like it was only yesterday that I started work on this project.  I guess that's because I've had quite a bit of fun with this.

It's had many errors and frustrations along the way (and I've learned many things), but I don't consider it a bad first effort.

I'm pretty happy with the way things turned out.  I do wish that I was able to spruce up the battlefield a little more than I did (I managed to tweak some things near the middle point, though).  And I wish I had used better lighting and a shadow map for added quality (I did these things in pages 51 and 52, the holiday greeting, and the five bonus panels that I'm going to add in the coming days).

Thanks, everyone, for sticking with me throughout this.  And thanks again to the guys who left comments -- I always appreciate it.

I'm hard at work on a new original fantasy series for Barbaric Brawn.  I'm 22 panels into that one (not counting the seven character profiles I've already completed).  I'll post a teaser promo once I'm far enough into the series.
