While working on After Hours (which is coming along well and is on track to release sometime this month), I decided to open my new copy of WWE 2K14 and give it a look to see how different it was compared to the 2013 edition. A while later, I had a few original and a couple of fan characters made, and I finally came up with a new match and mini story to post to YT.
Billy Cade has been in and out of (mostly in) juvenile hall most of his life. On the run from the law for several serious crimes, the 24-year-old punk was finally nabbed by Superman while attempting to rob a jewelry store.
A charismatic and cocky young man, Billy convinced Superman to fight him in a pro wrestling match for a full pardon of his crimes. The Man of Steel took an interest in trying to turn the criminal-in-the-making's life around before it was too late. Should he lose, the Mohawk-haired punk agreed to obey whatever Superman ordered of him. But should he win... Superman had to completely submit to the aggressive new wrestler named Punk Rage.
To make the match more even, the all-American superhero agreed to wear a kryptonite cock ring, effectively making him no stronger than a normal Earth muscleman.
By some cosmic accident, I won a random drawing by the super-talented Unknown Wolf and I was allowed to pick someone for him to draw. I chose the studly Super Macho Man from Nintendo's Punch-Out!! series. :D
Even though he was unfamiliar with the series and the character, I really loved the way he depicted the narcissistic, musclebound boxer, capturing him just as he is!
Golden Axe is one of my old favorites from my childhood. Ax Battler is a studly barbarian on a quest to destroy the evil Death Adder and prevent him from conquering the world with the power of the Golden Axe.
It was only a matter of time before I tried my hand at a model of Ax, but I just didn't think what I made was good enough to attempt anything with, so I kept him in one of my many art folders for later on. This was early in 2013. A while later, after I had learned some new techniques in lighting, I went back and refreshed his model a little and version 2 is what he looked like after.
I'm still not very happy with it. I made the belt from scratch and the necklace and diamond spikes on his boots are mine, also. I had planned on making Death Adder's helmet, but my skills aren't quite at that point yet so he remains uncreated for now.
I'll almost assuredly return to the raven-haired stud at some point in the future, but for now, I just wanted to share him with you guys.
I've been a little lax on developing this story over the past week or so, only writing a paragraph or two when the mood struck. I've gotten back into it and have made a couple of new renders that take place in the very beginning of the story.
This is Office Ronnie working out at the gym he co-owns with his pal from high school, Frank. It's late at night, but he's there for a while longer, building his body before he has to go out on patrol with his partner, Ken.
I'll keep at it and hopefully have After Hours up on the blog for you to enjoy sometime this month!
