Challenge Accepted

Courtesy of my generous patrons, this is Challenge Accepted: a 30 image story pitting Alexi and Ryan (who make their debuts in their glorious new versions here) against Fábio and Gabriel, the Brazilian Bodyslammers!

The twin wrestlers are watching the news when they see the stud team from the USA and USSR featured right after their latest victory.  On a whim, the two decide to issue a challenge to the world champion and his partner... and they accept!

This story also features Connor, a new referee.  He's a retired chief of police who got into bodybuilding and professional wrestling after leaving the force.

Enjoy, guys!  Here's Challenge Accepted.

If you're a patron at my Patreon, I've written a text alternate ending for this tale!
You can find it at the direct link here.

This set was made possible by my awesome and generous patrons.  Wanna get these in their native high res and image quality and support my future works?  Please head on over to my Patreon page and consider pledging for more muscle.  Thanks for your support!

  2. DUDE!!! HOT HOT HOT!!!! I was hoping for this outcome! Will this version be up for sale also? I'm not a patron YET, but I'd like to buy the story with the alternate ending. BTW, you need to get with a sculptor or graphic artist and a 3d printer; i collect wrestling figures and would love to buy your entire roster if that were possible! I've been reading your blog so long I'm familiar and have a connection with all of characters (Especially the original Herc & Sergios-My first of your stories; back when they were weekly episodic(loved waiting for them on Sundays).

    1. Thanks much for your comments! I'm glad that you enjoyed these posts. :)

Yeah, I'll likely get around to making this (+ the alternate text ending) into a PDF at some point in time. I appreciate the support; thank you for that!

I've considered doing 3D printing, but unfortunately, there's a rather ridiculous legal restriction on these models regarding that. I'm hoping it gets lifted someday. But, you're right, there's also the sculpting companies out there that would get around that nonsense pretty well!

Thanks again for your support! I'm happy to hear that you've been reading since the old version of Herc vs Sergios. :) I realize I've slowed down considerably since then. Part of that is from fear of burn out, and part is from the more complex scenes I'm doing now taking a lot longer to render. Hopefully the quality helps make up for that, though.

  4. Anticipating that! And, I definitely have no complaints about your rate of production; a whole series every so often is a bit more favorable than a panel a week, though, I had 0 complaints back then. BTW, the news ticker is hilarious! You should follow these up with a couple of two panel shorts to accompany the pdf/patrons. Lastly, have/will you done/do a character based on yourself?

    1. Yeah, the panel trickle got to be a bit difficult to work with, plus I figured you guys would have preferred the whole thing in one go. Definitely a lesson learned there!

I'm glad you liked the ticker. :) That was fun. I could do something like that, maybe. I might also illustrate the alternate ending to go along with the text. I'll have to see how my work load is, but I'll certainly make a note of this.

And no, I likely wouldn't do something like that. I know of other artists who do and I think it's cool, but it isn't something I plan to do. Stranger things have happened, though. :)

      Thanks very much again!
